EloStar®flexID is at present the only RFID lock system approved by VdS/ECBS for valuables protective containers, like e.g. gun or anesthetic cabinets and safes. Access takes place without contact by RFID card or RFID bracelet. The card is available with an integrated fingerprint sensor on demand. Users can be created without keyboard or PC software. Configuration is simply done by using the provided RFID master medium. Up to 99 additional cards or bracelets (combinable as well) can be created in total. All operations are logged completely. Alternatively, the system can be configured using the EloComm PC software.
The EloStar®flexID locking system consists of a high-quality motor lock with integrated RFID reader developed and produced in Germany. Using RFID bracelets or RFID cards, with integrated fingerprint identification as an option, you open the lock system quick and easy. Additional users can be added comfortably by training using a button. Up to 99 RFID bracelets or RFID cards can get an access to the locking system.
A security advantage of electronic locks like EloStar®flexID is the integrated manipulation protection. This function prevents the lock being cracked open just by trying any number of codes.
If a number of invalid RFID codes is read the input unit will be blocked for a certain time. If further invalid inputs will be read after expiration of this first blocking period a new blocking period will begin. This will be cancelled by reading a valid code.
After use, the EloStar®flexID motor lock closes automatically. An emergency power supply ensures access at any time – even in case of power failure.
Advanced access controls like opening delay, dual control principle where two valid users are prompted to open one after the other, and external release or blocking are possible.
Opening method 1: opening with RFID bracelet
The lock system is activated by briefly touching it. The RFID card or bracelet is held close to the lock system. If there is an access authorization the valuables container will open.
Opening method 2: biometric RFID card with integrated fingerprint sensor
The biometric RFID card is activated by placing a finger on the fingerprint sensor and then scanning the fingerprint. If it matches the deposited fingerprint the green LED lamp lights up and the RFID card will be activated (for a limited time). Then, the lock system is activated by briefly touching it. The biometric RFID card is held close to the lock system. If there is an access authorization the valuables container will open.
